There were multiple theories used in this film the main one being cultivation theory. Cultivation theory is one theory used in my film cultivation theory makes the audience opinions on the film be based  off what you show/tell them in the film. For example people might believe that Matt is the murder because most the film is based on Matt being the killer. However some people might believe that Piper is the killer because she acts suspicious in the film and her acts in the film can lead peoples opinions to believe she is the killer. 

  Over the course of this project I have come a long way from when I first started in this class I had no idea how to edit, film, or produce any kind of film.  Through out this class we have learned about camera angles, editing, theory's, and mise-en-sen. The way the scene is filmed plays a huge role in the way that people portray the film. For example in scene 1 and 6 when Piper or Matt were in the interrogation room the clips were filmed from a lower angel then were the actors are standing. The police officer is also standing this shows that the police officer is in higher power then the person who is getting interrogated. At the beginning of this class I wont have been able to make any kind of trailer or explain anything that is going on in a deeper meaning.  

  Before Scene 6 before editing was dark and the lighting was bad  After  Scene 6 After the editing the lighting was better and it looks more natural 

  Scene 6 story board shows a sketch of Matt being investigated by a police officer. Matt is claiming that he is innocent but the police officer is not buying it. 

 In scene 6 I filmed in a eye level shot because it was the best to fit both characters in frame and the actors were higher then the Filmer was standing. Scene 6 is when the Matt black has been arrested and he is claiming to be innocent. The audience now has to figure out who they think the murder is because they have evidence that both character could be the murder.  

  Scene 6 In scene 6 Matt is getting interrogated by the cops and he is claiming to be innocent. Dialogue: Cop: “If you claim to be innocent then why did you run?” Matt: “I don’t know I got scared.” “I’m being framed I didn’t do anything.” “I swear!”

  Before  The second part of scene 5 was also dark and lacked color  After  I edited the brightness and coloring so it was more natural and brighter

  Scene 5 story board shows the 2 cops walking down to the lake and then the 2 cops at the lake by the gun that they collected. this scene makes the audience really think about who the murder is and why is there a gun washing up behind the Farewells house. 

  In scene 5 the 2 police officers get a call about a gun washing up behind the Farwell's house the police go and retrieve the gun. I filmed the scene in a two shot to show the 2 police officers and there conversation in the clip. In part 2 of the scene when they are at the pond it was filmed with a high angle shot to show the gun on the ground clearly.  

  Scene 5 In scene 5 the 2 police officers are walking down to the pond where a gun has washed up behind the farewell house. Dialogue:   Cop 1: “The Farewells neighbors said they found a gun washed up in the lake behind their house.”   Scene ends

  Scene 4 story board shows a sketch of Matt Black trying to escape and getting caught by the police and K9 dog . 

  Before  This is a photo from scene 4 before i edited the clip and put it into slow-mo.  After  this is a photo from scene 4 after putting it in slow-mo to add a more dramatic effect to the police chase.  

  In scene 4 Matt is seen by the cops trying to escape from his back yard police chase him down the street and the K9 dog Zion jumps on matt and takes him down. This scene was filmed using low shots, close up shots and eye level shots. The chase scene of matt running away is also slowed down to add effect and make the scenes more dramatic. 

  Scene 4 In scene 4 Matt black is trying to run from the cops and he runs out of the back of the house around the front and down the street. The cops cast her down and the k9 dog and cop chase after him and take him down. Dialogue: Police: (open back door and see Matt running out the back) “Stop” Matt runs down the street police chase him with the k9 dog Police: (they get Matt down on the ground) Matt: Please, I’m innocent   Scene ends

    In my scene 3 story board it shows the plan for piper to be on the phone with someone who is not identified and she gives the audience a clue that she knows something about Brandon's death that the audience does not know. This is called dramatic irony. This keeps the audience on there tows and interested in the film.

 In scene 3 I had planed out a scene that would not give away the ending of the show but to have the audience rethink what they know from the film so far. I film a close up shot of piper on the phone with someone who the audience does not know about. Piper then hints that she had something to do with the tip that was sent into the police. 

  Scene 3  This scene starts with piper standing in the living room looking out the window on the phone, piper reveals she may have had something to do with that anonyms call the police got.  dialogue:  Piper: It worked the police believed the anonyms tip thanks for the help  

  My story board for scene 2 shows the parts of the scene were piper is with the police officer walking to the police station and the second part were piper is being questioned by the cops.  

  Scene 2 execution For scene 2 I planned a lot of different ideas but the idea that piper walks into the police station and sees Matt sitting there looking nervous. This scene helps set up the idea that maybe Matt has something to do with the murder and it also introduces the character.   I filmed this scene in full body shots to show the characters walking through the “police station.” Part 2 of scene 2 is piper being questioned by the cops. I used over the shoulder shots and straight on shots to make it feel like the audience is included in the conversation.

  Scene 2  The scene starts with Matt being questioned at the police station and piper comes in for questioning.  Pieper Farwell: (walks in and sees Matt Black sitting there) (Piper taken in for questing) Police: “We received an anonymous tip that Mr. Black was the one who shot your husband any reason as to why he would want to do that.” Piper Farwell: “No... well maybe because Brandon got the new lead role and Matt didn’t, but I’m not sure.” End of scene

This clip was then edited and made to look like a security footage video is on the news.    After After editing you can clearly see that there is a news broadcast going on and the clip looks more like a security camera footage. 

  This is the story board for scene 1 were Piper shoots Brandon. The scene is going to be edited to look like a security footage video and have an voice recording audio over it of the news cast person talking about the breaking news.   

Scene 1 The first scene to show is of a news clip and it’s the security footage of the shooting behind the hotel. The mise-en-scene used is black and white video to show that its from a security footage there is also going to be suspenseful music in the beginning to give off a feeling of suspense and making the audience curious of the intro scenes and characters. Dialogue: News lady: “breaking news last night famous acter Brandon Farwell was shot behind the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Security footage showed what happened…  footage plays…” Camera shots/angles/cuts: The news clip will straight cut onto the scene and will play in a long deration until there is another straight cut to the next scene of the trailer.  

  In The Wrong               On Jan 23, 2023, chaos broke out all over the news about the murder of Brandon Farwell the famous French actor married to Piper Farrell a famous American model. They lived in a prestigious neighborhood in West Hollywood, California. The Brandon was shot behind the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills and the only evidence was a bullet shell found by the body and a home security footage of the incident. Police showed up at the Farewell mansion around 4:30 pm Piper Farwell answered the door. She looked confused when she answered the door. The police informed her of her husband’s death as piper broke down hysterically crying, police took her back to the station to be questioned. Upon arrival She saw Brandon’s co-star and biggest rival Matt Black sitting there looking frightened. Matt was taken into questioning and when he came out, he quickly walked out of the police station, his head pinne...

Liam Clements is 13 years old Liam plays cop 2 with the k9 dog Liam is  the perfect fit for this role because he is very good with dogs.    Patrick Reidy  Patrick is 16 years old and fits the role of cop 1 because he is very good at taking charge Cameron Reidy plays Matt Black  Cameron is 13 years old and fits the role of  matt black because he is shy just like Matt Black.

Avery Clements 15 years old  director and Filmer Avery also plays Brandon Farwell yes she is a girl how ever  in the one scene with Brandon you don't even see his face      Madeline Blake  Madeline is 17 years old and plays piper farewell  Madeline was good for this role because  she likes to read murder mysteries and she is  good at acting.  Zion Zion is a mini auzi doodle who is  a year and a half old. Zion plays the k9  dog he fits the role because he is good at running  and played the role the best. 

Movie trailer cover  The cover of the trailer is a women (Piper) who is on the phone representing a scene in the trailer/movie. The Hollywood sign in the back represents the movie taking place in Hollywood. The name at the top "In The Wrong" is the name of the movie. The name of the movie was chosen because someone in the movie was wrongly accused and someone else was in the wrong.
